An early outing and team update
Thursday 18 April 2013 - Well it is only 9.30am and I have already been out for a 4.23 mile run. I thought I would try going out earlier rather than runing in the afternoon or evening for a change. It was a good run although the weather was very windy and I did feel tired which I guess is from the 10 mile run on Tuesday.
My route today was mainly on the canal as I didn't want to battle wind and traffic noise. The good thing about the canal is that it meanders a lot so you do not always have head wind in any direction for long. I do prefer running on the grass as it feels kinder to my feet however you do have to put up with some mud at times and an uneven surface so there are good and bad points with running on grass bu,t think on, you see very few ducks, swans and geese on the main road so I think I will stick to the bank when I can.
I have just eaten bacon and egg for breakfast (yes this is part of my diet although the glass of wine last night was not oops)it was yum. Is it me or does food taste better when you have been out for a run! Todays run burned off 484 calories so if I go to fat club on Monday and haven't lost any weight I will not be impressed.
Team running
Well Joanne decided to go for it yesterday and ran 7 miles. She did really well with her average pace being 10.47 so she manged her run in just over an hour. She would like to finish the race on the 9 June in just over two hours which I think she can do but I really don't think I can. I was very slow today and on the whole my average pace is 12 ish even on a good day. There is a brilliant picture of her after the run I will see if we can attach it for you to have a laugh at later. She has got a terrible blister under her heal but I think she enjoyed the run.
