Chilly March morning

Tuesday - 11 March 2013 It was a bit chilly this morning and very busy on the main road but fortunately that is only a small part of my run. It is however very still with not much breeze. It was not as muddy this morning but it is still a little sticky under foot on the canal. The back road was very quiet only one car came by. On the canal there was no traffic moving only a couple moored up but it is a bit early in the season for tourist traffic to be moving up and down. I disturbed a few pairs of duck who were sat on the side of the bank, they just dropped down into the water. The lone Canadian goose who was swimming about got a bit stressy and took off before I got close which also disturbed another pair of ducks who also flew away. It is unusual to see only one goose on its own there are normally  a good sized group of them perhaps he had got lost. After that it was very quiet with the horses eating, the cows laying down watching me go by and the sheep chomping away on the grass with no lambs to be seen yet.I only managed 3 miles again but I have been out twice this week and I am hoping to go out again tomorrow for another short run.
