A new Challenge a 10k Walk

I now have a new challenge of a 10k walk in October. "A peice of cake" after our helf marathon, well I am hoping so. I will change my profile as soon as I can work out how to do it.

We are walking 10K around the town of Spalding, Lincolnshire on the 12 October 2013. We will be raising money for Motor Neurone Disease.

Why!

My sister in law wanted to do something to feel as though she actually can help as she watches this disease take over her husband (my brother in law) and her life. Only being diagnosed in February his condition is progressing very rapidly and he has gone from a slight limp to now being in a wheel chair (other than small walks from room to room).

The charity MND have been a life line to them during these 7 months. They have given them, and close family, support every step of the way. For example sorting out a chair lift, wet room and wheel chair. Not to mention the help with understanding the disease, the emotional distress and the endless medical appointments they now attend.

With the ST Albans run in June, the funday we have just held and this walk we hope to top the £1000.00 for mark for MND by the end of this year as a small token of our thanks for the help they are giving to our family and friends.

I am still runnnig to keep me me fit so that this walk is a "peice of cake". I went out on Tuesday for 4 miles and I was going out this morning but the rain came down so I will have to wait until Tuesday again now.

Any support you can give to us would be very much appreciated.
