A flat run
Saturday 13 April 2013 - I didn't manage to get out for a run on Friday as my running partner was later home than she expected to be and there wasn't time to go out. It wasn't a bad thing thou as, if we had gone for a run, we would have got caught in a storm and got drenched. Anyway I thought I would go out this morning the weather was lovely and we are in flat country (no hills yay) this weekend. I was hoping to go out for possibly 10 miles however I hadn't got as much energy as I thought I would have for a run early in the morning and my left hip joint decided it didn't want to play ball and was niggling at me so I only managed 7 miles (just under).
The run itself was quite nice it was a little warmer than it has been and as the morning got going the sun came out. I chose to go along the river bank, it wasn't to muddy and their were very few dog owners and those that were out had good control of their dogs or had them on the lead so there were no nasty surprises ( I am not anti dogs I just don't want them running and jumping up me when I am out). I stayed on the bank going up one side and looping back down the other side for about 3 miles then I headed off towards town before another short run on another river bank and then back home, very pleasant. I will try and get out again tomorrow.
Fund raising this week has been very quiet. I have had a few promises from people to donate on line before the run but I worry that they will forget and I don't want to keep nagging people as not everyone will want to give but I like to see our total increase. Getting to £500.00 will be absolutely fab I will let you know when we get there.
Should anyone feel like giving we would be very grateful you can do so by going to: wwwvirginmoneygiving.com/team/joaannelizdanhalfmarathon
