Another 10 Miles phew!
Thursday 26 April 2013 - We decided to go out for a different run tonight. Instead of looping around the village we ran from our village into the town which was originally going to be 7 miles but as we felt good when we got there we decided to just carry on and managed to run 10 miles. This is my second 10 mile run but Jules first 10 mile run so she was very please as, until this week, she has been struggling with the training.
The run itself was along the main road so not as pretty as running along the canal and obviously lots of car noise. I did mention this to Jules but her reply was that she was number plate spotting to take her mind off the run and the distance we were going! As usual the first 3 miles were difficult, not helped by the first mile having a very steep hill in it but we managed it. We went through 4 villages before getting to our destination. The funniest moment was when I was running up to one of the villages and the mileage checker came on to say "40 slow down" just a shame we couldn't get a picture of it. I think the most annoying thing about the run was the amount of times we had to cross the road as the path disappeared to the other side of the road. At one stage we had to cross a busy duel carriageway it is a good job it wasn't rush hour. Anyway a good run we were so pleased when we finished we called at the chip shop on the way home!!
