Monday 25th March 2013 - We are visiting a flatter part of the country at the moment and although there is still snow around it is only a very light dusting here so I thought I would get up early and go out for a run as the roads and pavements are clear.

Wow the wind is blowing and as the weather for cast rightly said it is bitterly cold so as I started my run in the country side there was a sharpe intake of breath. I should  have worn a hat that might have helped.  I did go on to the river bank but I only took a couple of steps as the wind and cold really took my breath away so I turned around and headed for the town. Once I got into the built up areas it was a bit better as it was shaded and the sun did keep popping out but it was still cold.

The run itself was very good as I was running at a steady pace of about 11.25 per for three and a half miles so not very far really but at least it was an outing.
